Dr. Hikaru Ishii, Chairman
For more than five decades, I have dedicated my life to medicine, clinical research, and the pursuit of healthy longevity. As a physician specializing in internal medicine, I have accumulated 54 years of clinical experience, including 17 years of cancer immunotherapy research involving NK cell activation and more than 50,000 gastrointestinal endoscopic procedures. In parallel, I have devoted over 30 years to collagen research and supplement development.
In 2011, I obtained a European patent related to vascular health using natural fish skin collagen. That same year, while supporting the recovery of a young female patient with rib fractures through increased collagen supplementation, I made an unexpected clinical observation involving improvements in the décolleté area. This experience inspired a small clinical observation study at a women's clinic in Aoyama, Tokyo.
The findings led me to a broader hypothesis:
Healthy longevity and beauty may share the same biological foundation — the extracellular matrix (ECM).
The ECM is an essential structural environment that supports the organization and function of cells throughout the body. In my research, collagen and elastin appear to play particularly important roles in maintaining this structural integrity.
Currently, 50 subjects are under clinical observation, including participants from earlier studies. Preliminary observations have shown measurable changes in many evaluable participants, and a full U.S. patent application is planned following completion of the ongoing study.
Even at the age of 79, I continue to play tennis actively and maintain a highly demanding physical lifestyle. I personally believe that daily intake of high-quality collagen has contributed significantly to maintaining my connective tissue integrity and overall vitality.
For me, this research is not simply about beauty.
It is about helping people maintain confidence, vitality, and quality of life as they age.
My mission is to continue exploring the relationship between ECM health, healthy longevity, and physical well-being, and to share these findings with people around the world.
